The Brief was to redesign the floor plan and work with a 3D visualiser to showcase to the client – who is a Dentist near Notting Hill.
The Client wanted a ‘soho house’ feel to the design, bringing a more homely, cosy atmosphere to the reception space and encouraging a more boutique members club feel.
The wonderful people at MG Designs created a fantastic visual based on the drawings and samples I provided – see below:
I was given this Exsiting Floor Plan initial ( This was supplied by the previous architects) Current access to the rear of the property is dog legged and confusing. The Kitchen was adjacent to the Bathroom and toilet areas and there wasn’t an easy flow for people to walk through. Also – there is a basement area to the property which would contain an additional surgery space and therefor soon therefore ease of access to the rear staircase was essential.
The proposed plan showcases the direct route through the rear of the property through a central hallway.
In Vectorworks I initially produced a Wireframe model of the space to understand the flow here are some images of the model:
I then partially rendered model using Fabric, finishes, colours and samples for MG Designs to implement into their final version of the visual.
and this is the final result of their work:
